Hey everyone,
I have four free email newsletters dedicated to living intentionally.
All are 100% ad-free, sponsor-free, algorithm-free, cookie-free, and tracker-free. All come directly from me and I read (and try to reply) to every reply I get. A big, giant-hearted global city of people read these newsletters so I do my best!
Btw, I never meant to have four email lists. They just evolved like untamed hedges. I’ve summarized each one below and given you a sample. I’ll also kick off our new relationship by sending you an email full of my most popular articles, chapters from my books, and podcasts.
Now take your pick:
1. Neil's Book Club - My Monthly Book Recommendations (Est. 2016)
After struggling to make time to read for most of my adult life I implemented a series of small systems which dramatically increased my reading rate. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I feel like a better partner, son, brother, father, and neighbor. One of the small systems was this “public commitment” to sending out monthly book recommendations. This is my largest email list. Few more details on the original signup page here. Samples here.
2. 3 Books Podcast - My Insane Epic Quest (Est. 2018)
With my Apple “Best of” award-winning show 3 Books I am on an epic quest to uncover the 1000 most formative books in the world… 3 books at a time. On the exact minute of 333 straight full moons I'll drop a chapter featuring guests like Brené Brown, David Sedaris, the world's top-ranked Uber driver, and Quentin Tarantino. Sample here.
3. Neil.blog - My Kinder Surprise email (Est. 2019)
This is a bi-weekly email that I send out Wednesday mornings at 7:30am. It started as a new long form piece by me (like the ones I publish on Harvard Business Review or Fast Company) but has somehow evolved into me sending out articles, poetry, or speeches that caught my eye. So what is this list exactly? Clearly I don’t even know. Basically, signing up for this one means you are taking a huge risk. The Kinder Surprise Egg of my emails.
4. 1000 Awesome Things - 1 awesome thing a day (Est. 2008)
I have been writing 1 awesome thing a day for years and years and years now. The first 1000 were published on my blog from June, 2008 - May, 2012 right here. I wrote thousands after that in five page-a-day calendars, a journal, and books like The Book of Awesome, The Book of (Even More) Awesome, and The Book of (Holiday) Awesome. Then I started a daily awesome email during the pandemic (It's published online here!). And NOW I'm still at it. My third -- or is it my fifth? -- list of 1000 more. Still sending 1 new awesome thing every night at midnight. Samples here.
